To a Soldier of the Lord

This is to our long-time and amazing friend and soldier in the Lord, Eliseo "Shuty" T. Guilo.
Last night during Christmas Eve, he met a vehicular accident at Marcos Bridge. He was hit by a patrol car. He had one more passenger along with him in his motorcycle. He had no head injuries yet had severe damage on his stomach, lungs and legs. There was also a report on internal bleeding.

We got the news at about 8:56 in the evening. It was truly a devastating moment for a lot of us in IO, including those who knew him. It wasn't a very happy Christmas eve for us. Yet we know and we rejoice in this loss, because we know that he got the best gift this Christmas: heaven.

I remember the timess, when along with other people, we would just have great time together. Kuya Shuty, being one of the really comedic people in the group, would somehow become the life in the party. And as he grew spiritually and gained more responsibilities, he showed all the more that he wasn't after what the world had to offer, but he was after Jesus. He truly set an example not only to those who came after him, but even to those who were around him and before him. He truly showed with his life that he loved Jesus with everything that he was. He bore so much fruit. He was truly salt and light to the world. And thru his life, we praise our Father in heaven.

Losing someone hurts. It is painful--- excruciating. Yet we have a peace, and it comes not from the world, but a peace that surpasses human understanding, and that is from Jesus.

Eliza Aquino - If I Was Blind

If I Was Blind

If I was blind,
Though I am not
It sure would be a misery
Yes, If I am blind
I would’ve thought
Of dying by the depths of agony.
Yet some are blind
For wealth is where
Their heart ought to be
And so we are not blind
Not to care
What is there for us to see
Reach as high
As you can climb
You are given the ability to do so
Now open your eyes
Thank God and smile
And never judge like you know.

#We must be thankful for what we have and who we are today. Sometimes, we never get contented because we only see the inconsistencies in life. But if we get to see the brighter picture of having a God who was here, is here, and will always be here with us through every situation in life, we’ll certainly find the fountain of living water.
#He is with us now & forever

Eliza Aquino - God's Embrace (Poem)

 God's Embrace

I woke up at the warmth of the sun
But my day started with a storm
I was just another loner for some
With a past that takes no form.
My tears dried up in no time
Yes, but my heart has turned to stone
My words ran out of rhyme
And I was all alone.
 Far and wide, I wandered
Filled with so much questions
A lot of times, I faltered
Confused at all directions.
I fell on my knees and cried,
“How could I even survive?”
Then He gave me answers in many ways
And the best of all was His embrace.

Eliza Aquino - In Your Presence

 In Your Presence
by Eliza Aquino
I-Verse:  I am who I am
And I am who He made me to be
It is His will, He is the lamb
Who was sent here so we could be free

Refrain:
 From all our sins,
From all the suffering,
 From all the burdens
That He carried for us..

CHORUS:
Father, I surrender my life to you
I know You have your reasons
 For all I’m going through
Father, you died for my sins
 Carried my burden
And my suffering
In Your presence, I’m alive and strong
In Your presence, You have calmed the storm
In my life, You will always be here
In my heart, it is You I fear
(more than anything)

II-Verse:
 I am who I am
And He made me this way
I am not ashamed for He is the lamb
Who took the sins of the world away..

Refrain:
 From all our sins,
From all the suffering,
 From all the burdens
That He carried for us..
(Repeat CHORUS)

Bridge:
 You are so compassionate
You are so forgiving
 You are my everything
In your presence, I’ll always cling..

Princess Loredee - Who Could Ever Ask For More? (Lyrics)

Verse 1:
All my life I’ve been hiding
With my fears and shame
Behind this mask, someone’s crying
Wounded and bleeding

Pre-chorus 1:
Then You knocked and told me
That in You there is healing
And Your love for me will never end

Chorus:
You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?

Verse 2:
I was desperate in the desert
Trying to survive the drought
My attempted efforts to save myself
Were useless and then you

Pre-chorus 2:
You came and pursued
Filled me with Your love
You’re holding me, saying “I love you.”

Chorus:
You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?

Bridge:
Oh, You satisfy me
You’re everything I’ll ever want and need
Oh, my heart belongs to You
You’ve captured me and I have fallen in love with You

Chorus:
You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

You are the healer of my heart,
Giver of life, my Saviour
My Love and my Desire

Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
Who could ever ask for more?
